Counsellor's

  Lynette Ringer - Psychotherapist (Reg)

Over the past ten years I have counselled in the areas of emotional distress, grief and loss, inner child work, self-awareness, sexual abuse, trauma, relationship and couples issues. I find working with people and watching them come to insightfulness and understanding very rewarding.

Often during childhood, or later on, something can interrupt a persons life and they can become stuck in fixed patterns and/or beliefs about themselves - this can get in the way of experiencing a fulfilling life.

My belief is that in the beginning of healing I hold the torch as we walk together through the darkness and as time progresses you take over holding the torch until finally you are comfortable walking on your own.

Counselling / therapy can help people to:

I have developed my own modality and work holistically with my clients building awareness to the following -body, mind and heart/spiritual. I am passionate about assisting and empowering clients to reach their fullest potential.

Sandra Van de Pas, BASSc Couns, Accredited Journey Therapist, MNZAC, NZTAA, ACC

Sandra is an experienced and qualified counsellor practicing in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. In addition to counselling qualifications, she is in her third year of Transitional Analysis Psychotherapeutic training, which enriches the work between client and therapist.

Sandra is also an Accredited Journey Therapist. She offers an interactive experimental service combined with appropriate attunement to clients needs and pace. She works in a holistic and mindful way which simply translates to how she is in practice.

Sandra has experience working with youth, rape, sexual abuse and trauma, drugs and alcohol and general counselling. She has a passion in relation to the connection between attachments, the impact on the developing brain, meaning making, and consequential life outcomes which help define us, and ultimately can keep us stuck.

Transitional Analysis offers a template which helps us uncover where our stuckness/pain lies, helps us uncover early childhood script decisions (often unconscious) and gives the tools for the development of a healthy autonomous, more confident 'YOU'.

She works in conjunction with other professionals, including medical, in order to provide a safe and secure wrap around service as part of your theraputic journey, if so required. sandra also co-facilitates a Tuesday morning Women's group.

I use a variety of models of working to suit the individual, with client centred as a foundation, and using action if and when needed.

I am passionate about my work, and helping people to make things better for themselves, and feel incredibly privileged to share and walk alongside this part of their journey with them.

I co-facilitate a group here at the centre that supports the development of self awareness, helping people to understand themselves better and grow in confidence.

The purpose of the group is to grow confidence and self awareness , skills that will help members at work, shopping, or going out socially.
